Grizz Cup Tournament Director RFP

The Wasatch Mountain Amateur Hockey Association (WMAHA) is accepting proposals by qualified candidates to take on the role of Grizz Cup Tournament Director which reports to the WMAHA Executive Committee. Qualified candidates must be detail oriented, possess strong multi-tasking skills, good oral, written and email communications, knowledgeable with tournament scheduling, and event coordination.

Role Description:

1 - The Tournament Director, under the direction of the WMAHA Board of Directors, shall be responsible to carry out all aspects of planning and operating the Cup.

2 - The Tournament Director shall be present at a venue (or be immediately available) during the Cup.

3 - The Tournament Director shall be responsible for, but not limited to, entering into contracts relative to the operation of the Cup, set costs, receive and expend monies, reserve venues, accept or reject Cup applications, set game schedules and pools, and establish Cup rules.

4 - The Tournament Director will update the Board of Directors in writing of all duties performed each month, regarding the Cup, for review at their next monthly WMAHA Board meeting, and will attend the January Board Meeting and may attend periodic meetings throughout the year.

5- This Person will shadow the current Tournament Director beginning August 1, 2018 and then contract will begin March 1, 2018 will be responsible for Grizz Cup 2019 and 2020, ending February 29 ,2020.

Interested candidates must complete the information below and submit supporting documentation detailing why they feel they are qualified for the position and how they will specifically carry it out. This information should be submitted to the WMAHA president at WMAHA.JrGrizz@gmail.com. The WMAHA Board of Trustees will evaluate based upon qualifications and proposal amounts. Bids are due by 7/1/2017.
