UAHA Registrar Information

USA Hockey Roster Player DOB/CIT Verification

Please Read:  Each Youth Hockey player will need to have their Date of Birth (DOB) and/or Citizenship (CIT) verified before they can be added to an official USA Hockey Roster.  This will only need to be done once in their "Youth Hockey Career".

DO NOT SUBMIT BIRTH CERTIFICATE IF YOUR PLAYER HAS PLAYED HOCKEY BEFORE.

**Please always use Legal Names when registering with USA Hockey**

Please confirm with your association registrar if verification is needed for your player.  If so, they will provide you with the link to submit.

Once verification has been completed, documents will be deleted for your privacy. 

 **Please do not email documents to your manager, coach, registrar or other parent.**



UAHA Youth Roster Deadlines

September 1 - Board Rosters
*501 c3 that is your entire board including your registrar.  
*County facilities, that is any employee that is associated with the hockey program.)

October 15 - Team Volunteer rosters - additional volunteers can be added throughout the season, as needed

December 15 - Tier 2, Travel, Girls, House Rec, High School and D1 - Last day to add any players, coaches**, volunteers

December 15 – D2 – Last day to add any coaches.  Rosters do not freeze for adding players.

December 31 - Tier 1 - Last day to add players, coaches**, volunteers

 

**CEPs must be completed by end of year.

**6U/8U coaches can continue at their current CEP Level, however, must be at least a Level 1.

**Coaches must have SafeSport, Background and Applicable Age Group Modules completed by the date above to be added to the roster. 

**New this year: If a coach is redlined for CEP on Dec 31 – he will be ineligible to coach until CEP is current for the following season.

**New this year: All D2 teams will use Flex roster to be able to accommodate up to 100 players.



USA Hockey Patches

USA Hockey Patches can be submitted anytime throughout the season with the following deadlines:

        February 28 - High School Teams                     March 20 - Youth/Travel/Tier Teams   

Qualifications for Patches

1.    The recipient is a registered player.

2.    The game was in league competition (not exhibition) or a sanctioned tournament involving registered USA Hockey teams. 

3.    The game was officiated by a registered USA Hockey Referee.

4.    A copy of the score sheet is supplied to the Associate Registrar.

5.    Limit of ONE of each award, per player, per season.

Each award will be entered individually, by organization representative.  The player will only receive one patch (in one or more categories), of Hat Trick, Play Maker and/or Shut Out.   
**Reminder - Shut Out only occurs when the goalie plays the entire game.

Copies of the white scoresheet and facing correctly are recommended.  Saving the scoresheet with Player name and date of game would be fully welcomed as well.

All patches will be ready to be picked up at the UAHA Monthly Board meeting following the deadline.



National Bound Teams

NBT Credential Book Deadlines

High School - January 11, 2023 - 3 weeks prior to state playoffs

Tier 2 - February 1, 2023 - 3 weeks prior to Districts Credential Deadline

Tier 1 - February 1, 2023 - 3 weeks prior to Districts Credential Deadline

Girls - February 1, 2023 - 3 weeks prior to Districts Credential Deadline

Please have books in order according to Utah Credential Meeting document.

Tournaments

Definition of a Tournament: Definition of a Tournament: Ice hockey competition, other than normally scheduled league or exhibition games, where three or more legally registered teams compete within a specified time frame for the purpose of declaring a champion. This shall include gatherings consisting of more than three (3) teams, except Association Exchanges (limited to two (2) Associations), even though there are no winners declared (Annual Guide 2023-2024)

$250.00 playable to USA Hockey.                   $50.00 payable to Rocky Mountain District.  ** Please notate on the check the name of the tournament.

**New this year - Tournaments vs Special Events:  Per RMD the only special events that will be allowed this season are off-ice events- there will be a $50 fee.  All Try Hockey for Free need to be registered with USA Hockey.   All other events with multiple teams that fit the tournament definition will need a tournament sanction.
